Constructed in 2006, the EnergyNet data center designed from the ground up to be western Kentucky’s premier colocation facility. All systems were chosen to provide optimum operating conditions. Over 57 different facility parameters are monitored 24/7 with immediate notification provided to all EnergyNet staff of parameters that fall out of optimal ranges.

Environmental System

  • Dual Liebert N+1 redundant cooling units
  • Cold air enters racks through raised floor
  • Temperature and humidity monitored 24/7 by EnergyNet staff

Power

  • Liebert Interceptor surge suppressor
  • N Power uninterrupible power supply
  • 500 HP Caterpillar diesel generator (tested weekly)
  • Dual 120 VAC, 20 amp feeds to each rack
  • 230 VAC and DC power available

Connectivity

  • Multiple Tier 1 providers
  • Diverse fiber paths into facility
  • Connectivity available up to OC48
  • Usage-based billing available
  • Percentile-based billing available
  • Burstable connections available

Fire suppression

  • Entire facility monitored by Fike fire detection and suppression system
  • HFC-125 gaseous fire extinguishing system
  • HFC-125 absorbs heat at molecular level to extinguish fire
  • Gaseous system preserves valuable electronics if system is fired

Security

  • Electronic keycard required for entry
  • Must pass through multiple entries, each requiring keycard
  • facility monitored with video surviellance 24/7
  • All entries/exits recorded
  • All quarter, half and full racks are lockable
  • Customers provided 24/7 unescorted access to facility
